St. Petersburg, FL (1024 58th St), Store #460, is a Chuck E. Cheese's located within the Tyrone Gardens shopping center that opened in March 1983 as a franchised Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre with a Balcony Stage and is still open today with a Dance Floor and Video Wall.
History
The St. Petersburg Pizza Time Theatre opened its doors in March 1983 with a Balcony Stage and The King as the Lounge act, and was the 20th CEC to ever open in Florida. Being one of the few stores that survived the bankruptcy, it was originally a franchise-owned location until corporate bought it one October 22, 1984, along with many other stores. In 1988/89, St. Petersburg received the SPT 1980's Remodel Program, and its Balcony Stage was retrofitted into a Chuck E.'s House Facade. In 1995, St. Petersburg received Phase 1 (1994) and a 2-Stage, and The King was removed. In the late 1990s, St. Petersburg received Phase 2 (1997) and SkyTubes. In 2005, the store received the CEC 2000's Remodel Program, which saw the removal of the showroom walls and balcony seating, the expansion of the store, the replacement of the 2-Stage for a Studio C Beta, and the relocation of the show area. Due to its age, St. Petersburg's 2000s exterior sign was replaced by a 2.0 sign in 2020/21. In December 2022, the location received the 2.0 remodel and replaced its Studio C Beta with a Dance Floor and Video Wall.
