The Rudolph (Animatronic),Rudy for short was an animatronic character built by Creative Engineering for the Jingle Bell Jamboree to be use at Santa's Village in Jefferson, New Hampshire)
History
Rudy was installed in 1977 in Santa's Village (Jefferson, New Hampshire) by Creative Engineering along with the other characters [1] for the first full show that they developed,Rudy would reside on stage right
Rudy would stay mostly unchanged over the years with the exception of general wear and tear such as the fur around his mouth pealing off in photos from august of 1989
In 2003 the show would receive a complete refurbishment. [2] Rudy's head fur was completley redone giving him a lighter shade of brown and more white accents. He was also given a pair of greyish white pants.
In 2006, the original Creative Engineering animatronics would be removed and replaced by ones created by Advanced Animations ,but the showtape wasn't replaced.
The original Creative Engineering bots would be placed into the park's storage and left there for many years.Eventually the masks of the figures started melting and dripping onto the cosmetics. To avoid ruining the cosmetics, park employees would remove all the figures heads and put them off to the side. The figures are allegedly still in storage headless.
