Norristown, PA (2834 Dekalb Pike), Store #502, commonly known as East Norriton, was a corporate-owned Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre located within Northtowne Plaza that opened in June 1983 with a Balcony Stage and closed in 1985.
History
The Norristown Pizza Time Theatre opened in June 1983 with a Balcony Stage and was the fourth CEC to ever open in Pennsylvania. The store also opened with Cheese E. Street, and was one of only two locations in Pennsylvania to have it, the other being West Mifflin, PA (2260 Lebanon Church Rd). Upon opening, the store had either Harmony Howlette or Madame Oink as the Guest Star. By August of that year, though, the store had Helen Henny, and around that time, the Balcony Stage donned the Bandstand theme. The stage also had rainbow Warblettes.
Closure
After being open for only about two years, the Norristown Pizza Time Theatre shuttered in 1985. The space is currently Advance Auto Parts.
