Olathe, KS (15225 W 134th St) was a Chuck E. Cheese's location that opened on November 4, 2002[1], with a Studio C Beta, and closed as a Chuck E. Cheese with a Chuck E. Live Stage (Dance Floor) on April 4, 2026.

History

The Olathe Chuck E. Cheese's opened on November 4, 2002[1], as the "second site for a Chuck E. Cheese in Johnson County from a demographic study ordered by CEC Entertainment, Inc....The study found the Olathe area had a potential market with young families and a lot of pizza-eating children. That provided enough food for thought to build a new store, which is 1,150 square feet with a seating capacity of 511 people".[1]

2010's

In 2013, the store would receive purple walls and the removal of smaller décor, such as the Wall Sconce Planters (SPT Décor) [2]. The next year, in 2014, the Skytubes would be removed and replaced with Bumper Cars. In November 2016, the store received Chuck E.'s Play Pass [3]. In August 2017, Olathe, KS, would begin its CEC 2.0 Remodel Program, being one of seven stores to receive the remodel that year. By August 15, 2017, all previous artwork would be removed, exterior signage would be removed, and additional walls would be built. [4] By September 15, 2017, the wood flooring and carpet were added, Studio C Beta was removed and replaced with the Video Ring and Dance Floor, walls were painted white and black, and the exterior was repainted.[5] [6] By September 18, 2017, the "PARTY" and Character portraits were added.[7] By September 22, 2017, all artwork and signage were installed. [8]. By October 12, 2017, the exterior would be finished [9]. On December 7, 2017, the store would have its grand reopening celebration. [10]

2020's

In Fall 2020, as part of the 2020 COVID-19 Removals, the Ticket Muncher was removed. In 2025, the store received the Trampoline Zone. On April 4, 2026, the Olathe, KS, Chuck E. Cheese would cease operation, with a CEC Spokesperson stating that "As leases expire, markets evolve, and consumer preferences shift, we adjust our real estate strategy accordingly" [11]
