The Crow (Animatronic) was an animatronic character built by Creative Engineering around 1992 and would first be displayed publicly at the CEI 1995 IAAPA Show (Event) which took place between November 15th and 18th [1]
History
The Crow was built around early 1992 [2] It's unknown exactly why or for what.
The Crow was taken to the 1995 IAAPA Expo which took place between the 15th and 18th of November [3] proven by the New Rock-afire Explosion stage at the convention with it being introduced in 1995. [4]
The bot is a partial retrofit of the Click / Murray D. Bird (Animatronic) reusing the main latex portion of the head/body and beak.Despite this it's belived to have a mostly if not entirely unique mech due to Click's mech extending deep into his clock. In the only footage of the Crow in action he can be seen singing along with the Bubba The Gorilla (Animatronic) to the song "You May Be Right",originally from the Spring Shows '82 showtape, but was then reused for multiple of the showtapes for the Bubba The Gorilla (Animatronic) .It's believed the Crow's mouth movement in the footage may have run on the same signal as the mouth movement of the Woody the Tree (Animatronic) specifically from the Bubba + Tree Showtape .
The Crow stood on a horizontal red painted metal pipe mounted into the scaffolding for the sign of Creative Engineering 's booth, pointing inwards to look in the same direction as the Bubba The Gorilla (Animatronic)
The bot would not be sold and was sent back to Orlando, FL (47 W Jefferson St) where he would reside for many years being placed on the base of the Clown (Animatronic) around 2016 [5] on his right side [6]
