La Habra, CA (901 Harbor Blvd) was a Pizza Time Theatre that opened in May of 1980 with a Portrait / Shelf Stage before closing in 1984.

History

Pre-Opening

The first mention of La Habra would be in December of 1979 as a soon to open store alongside Covina, Fullerton, and Sun Valley.[1] Ads for an assistant manager would appear on April 13th.[2] With the May issue of The Pizza Times, it would be noted La Habra was set to open "...any day now".[3] Assistant manager of Huntington Beach, CA (15511 Edwards St), Joe Fisher, would train the kitchen staff for both Fullerton, CA (1841 W Orangethorpe Ave) and La Habra, while being set to be part of the opening staff for the store. Stockton, CA (4555 N Pershing Ave) would also transfer the manager John Eliasen to La Habra. [4]

Operation

In early 1981, the store, Huntington Beach, CA (15511 Edwards St), Fullerton, CA (1841 W Orangethorpe Ave), and Garden Grove, CA (11889 Valley View St) would participate in the "Pizza Leagues" where softball players at each store would compete. These four stores and the Long Beach, CA (4706 Los Coyotes Diagonal) location would also sponsor California Surfs soccer team's MVP award.[4] From August 24th to September 3rd, all stores would participate in the 1981 Play Asteroids and Benefit Muscular Dystrophy (Event).[5]

Closure

The store would close some time in early to mid 1984, with sale of the location set in October.[6] The auction of the final items would happen in December. [7]
